This tiny master was created for Alliance Models. It is from the New BSG series and was seen briefly in the ship yard destruction scene and in the ‘Razor’ episode, I believe. It was made to be 1:9600 scale and is approx. 4″ in length. There are lots of tiny details on this master…………

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I first started with the engines. I needed four in total, so I created one and had it cast to complete the drive section.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I used a combination of styrene and urethane block to complete the master. Styrene rods were assembled and them wrapped with .010″ X .020″ thickness styrene strips to create the ‘spine’ that runs the length of the ship. Somewhat tedious. You can also see below, I’m using a .020″ end mill to add the various panel lines on the surface.
