Developed for Timeslip creations
This model was created using a casting from the original filming model. The biggest change was the width of the wingspan and the edition of two vertical fins on the end of each wing.
Pictured is the primed casting ready to mod. Pencil lines show where the cutting will begin.
No turning back now…..
Because this was a roto-casting, I had to glue some urethane block in the spaces.
Using supplied screen-grabs, I re-shaped the the wings to match. Lots of grinding, sanding & blending to get them correct.
The vertical fins or tails were made from Styrene. They were scribed and had 1/4″ pins added to locate them onto the wings.
Filling in the un-wanted scribe lines…..
New bottom shape in final primer with new scribe lines.
Scribe lines were added as paint guides for the long stripes that go along the hull.
