This was the more intricate of the boxes due to the many roses needing to be added as surface decoration. Because these boxes were produced in porcelain, any surface decoration had to be made so hard tooling, such as steel molds, could be used. There can be no under-cuts in the details. The ballet shoe on the lid and the large rose on a stem were separate parts to be added in production.

The small pair of ballet shoes became the gold plated charm on a chain.
